Keep an eye out for hotel coupon magazines at restaurants and garages, there are at least 4 different ones I’ve seen so far: one by room$aver.com, two types from hotelcoupons.com, and a pocket sized one from Hotel Coupon Guide. Not only do these save you from having to find somewhere to print the online coupons, but they give you handy maps of each of the areas they cover. Most will only show hotels in two or three States, so you’ll need to hunt for fresh ones each time you cross a border.
As an example, the walk-in rate for tonights hotel is $79. If you book it over the internet, the rate is discounted to $70.95. But, using a coupon from one of the magazines above, I got a rate of $54.95. And this is the view from our window
