Junior Coloured Belt Midlands Friendly Competition
A couple of my local clubs put together a friendly competition to encourage the next generation of TaeKwonDo fighters. Aside from almost all of the competitors already knowing each other, no adults and no black belts were competing so most of the pressure was off and the kids could just enjoy the day. Every competitor got a certificate of participation to take home and there were no trophies at stake. I got to practice refereeing in preparation for the National Points in a couple of weeks too 
Some of the instructors put on a destruction demonstration towards the end, including a jumping splits twisting kick from Mr. Jason Burgess 4th Dan, and a 3 way speed break from Mr. Clive Harrison 6th Dan. I still have some way to go to pull off that kind of stunt!
