Yikes! I managed to compile gettext-0.12.1 on my iBook today, and had to make a bunch of little changes to CVS M4 to get it to build properly. When I wrote the ChangeLog entry, I was amazed to see that it is exactly a year to the day since my last commit to the tree! :-/ Anyway, thanks to the work of Peter O’Gorman, libtool is now working on Darwin, and with a few tweaks I can get libltdl to behave itself too. I really want to release m4-1.5 this year, so after a play with parameterised macros to get my head back into the code, I’ll start work on cleaning up the module api ready for the release.

I entered the Midlands Tae Kwon Do Open Championships today, which had a huge turnout! I only got an 8.8 average for GwangGae thanks to an 8.6 from one of the judges from the AMA :-( Then again, I was happy that I turned in a decent pattern, so never mind. The Mens’ Heavyweight Black belt category was very scary, and I was almost relieved to have been eliminated in the first round to avoid fighting any of the brawlers in the second round. I was beaten narrowly on points by a 3rd Dan from the UKTA. Roll on 15th June for the English Championships in Nottingham!

Drove to Tony Sewell’s fitness studio today to take my 2nd Dan grading with Master Hopwood, Mr. Harrison, Mr. Sewell, Mr. Sparks and Mr. Bhadeshia. I am delighted that all my hard work has paid off: In the evening lesson Mr. Harrison told me that I had been successful, and that I will receive my certificate on Wednesday. :-)

As a study aid, and to start some place holder pages to keep notes on some of the more advanced patterns I know, I have created some new pages forHwaRang, ChoongMoo, GwangGae, PoEun and GaeBaek patterns. At the moment only the official GTI pattern meanings are there…
